Everybody would like to be a little bit smarter, right? Learn some quick and easy ways to make it happen!

1Easy Ways to Become Smarter

Do you know anyone who would turn down the opportunity to become just a little bit smarter? This is a topic that is pretty universal among people. Everyone wants to have a better memory, think a little more quickly and solve problems a little bit more effectively.

The problem is that not very many people want to go to grad school or do some of the other ways that we traditionally think of when you think about becoming smarter.

But now… you’re going to learn about a few ways to become smarter that are so easy to do that everyone can do them.

2Eat More Almonds

If you want to be a little bit smarter, all you have to do is eat more almonds. Studies have shown that if you eat almond milk, it will increase your memory power. Almond milk is made by crushing the almonds (without its cover) and adding just a little sugar and water. The best time to take this is first thing in the morning or late at night. Drinking apple juice has the same effect.

Eating the right kind of foods is another of the easy ways to become smarter. Keep an eye out for a future article that talks more about different foods that will increase your brain power.

3Take a Break to Become Smarter

When you are under too much stress, it takes up a lot of the memory resources you have in your head. You will remember that you are stressed, but you won’t have anything left over to remember anything else.

Take the time to engage in some of the simple pleasures in life to reduce the stress you feel every day. It will make you smarter.

4Fast For a Day

Obviously, you have to eat in order to survive. But did you know that the process of digestion drains your brain power?

If you fast for a day, it will work as a detox for your body. You can’t do this very often because it won’t be healthy. However, a detox day every now and then will help your memory, creativity and powers of concentration.

5Get Better Sleep

A lot of things happen in your mind when you sleep. Many studies have shown that your brain replays all of the details from your day when you sleep at night. These images are stronger and they repeat more often when you have a better quality of sleep.

One way to get better sleep is to make sure you don’t drink caffeine or eat a large meal later in the day. Large meals can cause you to toss and turn and causes stress on your digestive system.

6Work on Your Imagination

One of the more interesting ways to become smarter is to focus on improving your imagination. Memory experts all agree that you don’t increase your memory by rote memorization, you improve it by making connections.

You have to connect each thing that you want to remember to another object. The more senses you can involve, the more powerful your memory will be. If you can include the sense of smell, touching, seeing, hearing and feeling, it will be much easier for you to remember the details of the event.

7Become Smarter by Exercising Your Brain

This is one of the best ways to become smarter, but it isn’t what you think. You don’t have to spend hours per day trying to learn things that are complicated to exercise your brain. You just have to do something that makes you think.

“Thinking” in this case could mean playing scrabble or doing crossword puzzles, but it could also mean spending more time interacting with others or getting outside of our comfort zone. When you do new things, your brain has to get out of the autopilot mode any pay attention. You could even choose to start a new hobby to boost your brain power.

You can see that these tips are really easy ways to become smarter. You don’t have to study to become a doctor or do anything else that will be really difficult. You just have to eat better, reduce your stress, get more sleep and try something new.
